Reign Sign Defenseman
Dylan Yeo To Guard Reign Blue Line

ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, signed defenseman Dylan Yeo for the 2011-12 season.

Yeo, 25, split his last two seasons between the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays and its AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears and the two seasons prior split between the ECHL’s Victoria Salmon Kings and its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.

He recorded 105 points (36g, 69a) and 202 penalty minutes in 166 ECHL regular-season games and 12 points (6g, 6a) and 34 penalty minutes in 29 playoff games. He also accounted for 14 points (2g, 12a) in 54 AHL games. He skated in two playoff games for the 2009-10 AHL champion Hershey Bears.

The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was honored as ECHL Defenseman of the Year for the 2008-09 season, a year in which he was also named to the ECHL All-Star Team and to the All-ECHL First Team.

Yeo played five seasons of WHL junior hockey before turning pro. He skated with the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League from 2003 to 2005, scoring 20 points (4g, 16a). Yeo joined the Calgary Hitmen from 2005 to 2007. During the 2006-07 season, Yeo led the team's regular season plus-minus statistic with a +27. While with the Hitmen, he scored 53 points (17g, 34a) in the regular season and netted 14 points during the post-season.
