Reign Battle Back to Beat Wranglers 4-3
Third-Period Comeback Extends Win Streak to Seven Games

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (27-14-2-2), proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, scored three unanswered goals in the final 14:03 of regulation for a 4-3 victory over the Pacific Division-leading Las Vegas Wranglers (30-15-1-3) before 6,416 Wednesday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena.  It was the Reign's second come-from-behind win in as many games.

Kyle Kraemer fronted Ontario a 1-0 lead with his 11th goal of the season as he got behind defenseman Channing Boe and finished off a 2-on-1 with Bill Bagron 2:23 into the opening stanza.  Las Vegas tied the game less than two minutes later on a goal by Ryan Weston.

Sean Wiles scored twice in the second period to give the Wranglers a 3-1 lead going into the second intermission.  Wiles netted his first goal with a point shot through traffic at 9:19.  The second came on a wrist shot from the low circle at 14:09.  Jean-Francois Berube appeared to be screened on both goals.

Ontario’s third-period comeback started as Tristan King tallied his third goal in two games 5:57 into the frame to cut the Las Vegas lead to 3-2.  The rebound from Kraemer’s shot dropped into the crease and King pushed the loose puck across the goal line.  Las Vegas opened the door for Ontario with a holding penalty at 11:58 and a double-minor for high-sticking at 12:22.  The Reign couldn’t convert the two-man advantage, but Chris Huxley threw a floating wrist shot toward the net which found its way past goaltender Mitch O’Keefe to tie the game 3-3 with the second penalty still on the board at 15:51.  Kevin Estrada put home the winning marker with just over a minute left in regulation as he chipped a pass from Brady Calla over O’Keefe’s glove to give the Reign a 4-3 win.

Berube (8-8-1) won his third straight game with 23 saves on 26 shots, while O'Keefe (3-4-0) took the loss with 34 saves on 38 shots.
