REIGN CLIP CONDORS, 4-3
Jordan Morrison Scores Game-Winning Goal, Finishes With Two Points
ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, defeated the Bakersfield Condors, 4-3, before 8,741 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena Saturday night.
Chaz Johnson gave the Reign an early 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 7:01 of the first period. A pair of precision passes by Jordan Morrison and Shawn Collymore found Johnson parked low in the left circle and he snapped the puck into the net for his twelfth goal of the season. The Condors responded with a breakaway goal by Michael Gergen at 10:39.
Alex Bourret tallied his second goal of the season at 13:35 of the second, as he one-timed Collymore’s feed out of the right corner to retake the lead, 2-1. Kyle Kraemer netted his second unassisted goal in two nights to extend the Ontario lead to 3-1 at 16:49. Kraemer picked the puck up along the boards, stickhandled his way past defenseman Joey Ryan, then slid the puck around a sprawling Josh Tordjman. Vyacheslav Trukhno banked the puck off of Mike Zacharias’ back and into the net to cut the Reign lead to 3-2 a

A shorthanded goal by Adam Naglich at 3:51 of the third period tied the game at three, but Morrison scored a power-play goal at 8:32, as Tordjman was unable to control a rebound in the crease and Morrison managed to swat it in for what turned out to be the game winner, as Ontario held on for the 4-3 win.
Zacharias turned aside 29 shots for his first win of the season with the Reign, while Tordjman made 35 saves in the loss.
Tonight’s three stars were:
1) ONT – Jordan Morrison
2) ONT – Alex Bourret
