The Ontario Reign received defenseman Erik Cernak on assignment from the Kings and assigned goaltender Michael Houser to the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL.
Cernak, 18, skated in 43 games with Kosice HC in Slovakia last season scoring five goals and eight assists for 13 points. The Kosice, Slovakia, native was selected by the Kings in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and captured a 2014-15 World Junior Championship Bronze Medal with Team Slovakia. On September 27, Cernak was assigned by the Kings to the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), but the 6-foot-3, 203-pound defenseman did not skate in a contest.
Houser, 23, appeared in two preseason games with the Reign.
UPDATE: The LA Kings have announced that Cernak will join the Eerie Otters in OHL for the remainder of 2015-16 season
