The American Hockey League announced today that goaltender Peter Budaj has been named to First Team 2015-16 AHL All-Star.

Budaj, 33, leads the AHL with a 1.75 goals-against average, 57 appearances, 3,395 minutes played, nine shutouts and 39 wins, sits second with 1,338 saves and third with a .931 save percentage and was selected to the 2016 AHL All-Star Classic in Syracuse, New York.

The Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, native skated in one game with the Kings this season, earning a 5-4 overtime victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on February 12 and was awarded a one-year contract extension by the Kings on March 2.

Over a 14-year professional career, Budaj appeared in 209 career AHL contests with a 95-78-20 record, 2.49 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
