Kings Assign Defenseman Tom Gilbert to Ontario

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have assigned defenseman Tom Gilbert to the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 34-year-old Gilbert (born Jan. 10, 1983) is a 6-2, 210-pound native of Bloomington, Minn., who has appeared in 18 games this season with the Kings posting five points (1-3=4) and six penalty minutes.

Signed by the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2016, Gilbert has appeared in 655 career NHL games with Edmonton, Minnesota, Florida, Montreal and Los Angeles, recording 223 points (45-178=223) and 198 penalty minutes.
