LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles Kings, NHL affiliate of the Ontario Reign, will begin Rookie Camp on Friday, Sept. 7 at Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, skating twice. Practices will take place 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
There will be media availability following each skate, and Mike Kalinowski and Eddie Fischermann of the Kings are the main contacts. The restaurant at TSC will also have snacks and drinks available for media during rookie camp, training camp, and continuing through the regular season.
On Saturday, the Kings will travel to Las Vegas to compete in a Rookie Tournament with the host Vegas Golden Knights, along with the Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche and the San Jose Sharks from Sept. 8-11. The Kings are slated to play three games during that time. The roster for the tournament can be found HERE, however it is subject to change. It is slated to feature nine players that skated with the Reign during the 2017-18 season.
The Kings are scheduled to face the Anaheim Ducks on Sept. 8, Arizona Coyotes on Sept. 9 and will play the host Vegas Golden Knights on Sept. 11. The team is scheduled to then return to Los Angeles and resume skating on Sept. 12 at Toyota Sports Center in two sessions, 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Kings Training Camp is scheduled to begin on September 14 and includes the Kings vs. Kings scrimmage at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario on September 16. Tickets for the Kings vs. Kings event are available now by visiting ontarioreign.com/kingsvskings.
