Ontario, CA – The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Tucson Roadrunners today at 3:00 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Today is the 12th and final regular-season meeting between the two teams.

Series at a Glance:

The Reign are 4-5-2-0 against the Roadrunners this season, 3-2-0-0 at Citizens Business Bank Arena and battled the Roadrunners last night at Citizens Business Bank Arena, falling 5-4. Reign forward T.J. Hensick (two goals, six assists) and defenseman Vincent LoVerde (three goals, five assists) each have eight points in the series while Roadrunners blueliners Zbynek Michalek (four goals, four assists) and Jamie McBain (two goal, six assists) each have eight points.

Postseason Push:

The Reign look to reduce their magic number to clinch a playoff berth today (currently 19 points). The number is reduced with points earned or teams outside the playoff picture failing to earn standings points.

Fire Away:

The Reign set a new team record last night with 54 shots on goal, passing their previous mark of 52 set last season on February 10, 2016 at San Jose. Their previous season-high this year was 48 back on November 5 at Tucson.

Brodzinski and Sutter Step Up:

Reign forward Jonny Brodzinski enters tonight’s contest on a five-game point streak (two goals, four assists). Forward Brett Sutter has four goals and three assists over his last eight games.
