Ontario, CA – The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced the addition of Cameron Close to the Reign’s broadcast team and exciting additions and expansions to the Ontario Reign Broadcast Network.
Since their inaugural AHL campaign, the Reign continue to build and improve the fan experience at Citizens Business Bank Arena. This season, through increased video and social media production, fans will go behind-the-scenes and receive exclusive updates, highlights and shows, including live content, surrounding their favorite hockey club.
Close, who joins the Reign from the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL and recent recipient of the ECHL Broadcaster of the Year award, joins the organization and will provide play-by-play during Reign contests at Citizens Business Bank Arena and can be heard at TheAHL.com and AHL Live.
“We are excited to add another talented broadcaster to our team,” noted Reign President Darren Abbott. “Cameron has done a terrific job at the ECHL level and will help us enhance our broadcast network.”
Current broadcaster Joseph Zakrzewski will be moving in front of the camera to bring Reign fans a unique perspective inside game broadcasts, on social media and through other unique content pieces.
“We hope this additional content will allow our fans to see what our team is involved in, on the ice and in the community,” added Abbott.
