Ontario, CA – The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), take on the San Jose Barracuda in Game 2 of the Pacific Division Semifinals tonight at 7:30 PT at SAP Center. The Reign lead the best-of-five series, 1-0.

Game 1 Recap:
Defenseman Kurtis MacDermid buried the first Reign AHL playoff goal midway through the second period and forward Jonny Brodzinski netted the game-winning tally with 4:03 remaining in the contest to give the Reign a 2-1 victory over the Barracuda at SAP Center in San Jose. Box Score Highlights

Penalty Kill Stands Strong:
The Reign went four-for-four on the penalty kill in Game 1 and have allowed three power-play goals over the last 20 games dating back into the regular season.

Budaj Continues to Roll:
Goaltender Peter Budaj picked up his sixth consecutive win dating back to the regular season and has allowed seven goals over his last six appearances.

Regular-Season Rivals:
In the regular-season, the Reign battled the Barracuda 12 times, earning a 9-3-0-0 head-to-head record. At SAP Center, the Reign went 3-3-0-0. Reign forward Sean Backman leads all skaters in the regular-season series with 11 points (four goals, 11 assists) and Reign forward Michael Mersch leads all skaters with five goals. Forward Bryan Lerg led the Barracuda in the series with eight points (three goals, five assists).
