LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have signed former Ontario Reign (ECHL) forward Devin Setoguchi to a one-year contract and assigned seven players to the Reign, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Setoguchi, 29 (born Jan. 1, 1987), last appeared in the NHL during the 2014-15 season with the Calgary Flames, playing in 12 games. Last season he played with Davos HC of the Swiss Hockey league, where he recorded 24 points (11-13=24) and four penalty minutes. The Taber, Alberta native has appeared in 471 total NHL games with Calgary, Winnipeg, Minnesota and San Jose, totaling 249 points (127-122=249) and 163 penalty minutes.
The Kings have also assigned forward Michael Latta and defenseman Rob Scuderi to Ontario (AHL), as both cleared waivers today. Also assigned to Ontario are defensemen Kevin Gravel, Paul LaDue and Kurtis MacDermid and forwards Adrian Kempe and Michael Mersch. Also, defenseman Zachary Leslie and forward Spencer Watson have been designated as injured-non roster players.
