The Week That Was…

The Ontario Reign celebrated Opening Weekend at Citizens Business Bank Arena last Friday and Saturday, earning a weekend record of 1-0-1-0 to improve to 2-0-1-0 overall.

The Reign battled the Texas Stars in the opening contest and jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first period. Vincent LoVerde scored twice and Zach Leslie and T.J. Hensick added power-play markers for the early advantage. The Stars fought back with a pair of goals in the second and third periods to force overtime where less than a minute into the extra skate, Jonny Brodzinski sealed a 6-5 victory for the Reign.
