Reign Acquire Defenseman From Nailers
Wheeling Trades Tarasuk to Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, announced today they have acquired defenseman Steven Tarasuk in a trade from the Wheeling Nailers for future considerations.

Tarasuk, 21, joins the Reign after spending the majority of the 2010-11 season with the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings.  Toward the end of the season the defenseman played three games with the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.  Over the course of the season Tarasuk played 68 games tallying 26 points (4g, 22a) and 53 penalty minutes.  

 

The Thornhill, Ontario native spent four seasons in the OHL with the Kitchener Rangers and the London Knights from 2006-2010.

The Reign’s regular season opener is Friday, October 14, 2011.
