Dallas Assigns Forward to Reign Roster
Tristan King to Debut in Alaska

ONTARIO, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, announced the acquisition of rookie center, Tristan King.

King, 21, joins the Reign from the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads where he played 24 games last season after playing in the AHL with the Texas Stars for 11 games. Between the two leagues the forward posted 17 points (5g, 12a) in 35 games.

King re-signed with the Steelheads for the 2011-12 season. He played four games with Idaho before joining the Greenville Road Warriors for one game.

The Elk River, Minnesota native spent four years of junior hockey in the WHL with the Portland Winter Hawks (2006-08) and the Medicine Hat Tigers (2008-10). King tallied 40 points (15g, 25a) in 133 games with the Winter Hawks and 101 points (35g, 66a) in 117 games with the Tigers.

King signed a three-year entry-level contract as a free agent in 2009 by the NHL’s Dallas Stars.
