Reign Winning Streak at Three After Shutout

The Reign are starting to roll.

By beating the Idaho Steelheads 5-0 on Saturday, they extended their winning streak to three consecutive games and their streak of games with at least a point to six.

The Reign (18-12-1-2) got goals from five players for the third game in a row, a span in which they have outscored opponents 16-1.

Bill Bagron, Kyle Kraemer, Steven Tarasuk, Francois Brisebois and Tristan King scored the goals and Chris Carrozzi made 33 saves for his second shutout of the season. Kraemer and defenseman Chris Huxley had two assists apiece.

Saturday's victory featured plenty of fisticuffs. Three fights broke out in the third period involving Derek Couture, Huxley and Kevin Estrada, who required stitches in his head to repair a wound but later returned to the ice.

The Reign swept both ends of the back-to-back series in their first meeting of the season with the Steelheads (15-16-2-1). King had three goals in the series against his former team.

The Las Vegas Wranglers visit Ontario on Wednesday.
