Reign Humane Society Fundraiser Totals Over $45,000

Humane Society Night On November 21 A Success

ONTARIO, Calif. – It was the Humane Society Night at the Reign home game on Saturday, November 21. The Ontario Reign partnered with the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (HSSBV) to raise money for the Humane Society and to raise awareness about their important cause.

There were several different ways that funds were raised for the HSSBV at the game including a 50-50 raffle and a post-game jersey auction of the one-of-a-kind jerseys Reign players wore during the match against Stockton. Staff members, volunteers and board members sold tickets to the game benefiting the HSSBV and an ongoing raffle of a customized, team-signed jersey just like those worn during the game also contributed to the fundraising efforts. With the jersey auction alone bringing in $34,800, and an additional $531 for the ongoing jersey raffle and $1,704.51 in misc. donations. The total raised for the HSSBV is $45,117.51 .

"Without a doubt, the Ontario Reign put the F-U-N in fundraising,” said Teri Seymour, Operations Manager for the HSSBV. “We were delighted for the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley to partner with the Ontario Reign to create a unique and community-driven event. We are looking forward to implementing this as a yearly fundraiser as it was hugely successful in benefiting many local animals in need."

The HSSBV is a private, non-profit animal welfare charity governed by an elected Board of Directors who serve on a volunteer basis. The HSSBV is not affiliated with any government agency and relies totally on community support.
