Ontario Reign Launch “Read to Reign” Student Reading Program

Ontario, CA –The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), launched the Read to Reign student reading program for the 2016-17 season.

Over the 2016-17 season (November 1-February 1), students (K-6 grades) can earn exclusive Ontario Reign prizes including a free game ticket and a class Cream ice cream party with Kingston by accumulating reading minutes. Teachers can register their class or entire school at!

Students and teachers can also participate in the Reign’s first Education Day on Thursday, October 6 at 10 a.m. at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Over 5,000 students will fill the arena and watch a Ontario Reign preseason game themed around the importance of learning, school spirit and following your dreams. Each student in attendance will receive an Education Day booklet designed to engage and challenge the mind. Math, Geography, History and more will be addressed. World-famous professional fan and motivational speaker Cameron Hughes will be in attendance to get students moving to music, cheering for the Reign and speaking about what it takes to follow your dreams.
