
Reign and Roadrunners Collide Tonight in Tucson
Dec 9, 2016Ontario, CA – The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), take on the Tucson Roadrunners tonight at 6:05 PT at Tucson Arena in Tucson, AZ. Tonight is the fifth of 12 regular-season meetings between the two teams.
Resetting the Roadrunners:
Both the Reign and Roadrunners enter tonight’s matchup with a head-to-head record of 2-1-1-0. Tucson claimed the first two meetings of the series (regulation win and overtime win) while the Reign have followed up with the last two (4-1 win at Ontario last Friday, 3-2 overtime win at Tucson on Wednesday).
It has happened before…:
The Reign enter tonight’s contest on a three-game winning streak, their first of the season. During the 2015-16 season, the Reign went on nine winning streaks including a season-high five-game stretch from October 10-24 and April 4-15.
LoVerde Hits Milestone:
Defenseman Vincent LoVerde is looking to appear in his 350th pro game tonight against the Roadrunners and he is two points from 100 in the American Hockey League, all with the LA Kings affiliate. The Chicago, Illinois, native leads the Reign in the series against Tucson with four points (two goals, two assists).
