Reign Weekly: Reign Prepare for Season Opener vs. San Diego

The Ontario Reign opened the 2016 preseason last Thursday at Citizens Business Bank Arena, hosting the San Diego Gulls on Education Day. In front of over 5,000 Inland Empire students, the Reign erased a 3-1 deficit in the third period with goals from Lucas Lessio and Miles Koules to force overtime and a shootout. The Gulls snuck two shots past Reign goaltender Jonah Imoo in the breakaway skills competition to prevail for a 4-3. Cory Ward scored an early second-period for the Reign to start the comeback.
